Control Equipment

Control equipment plays an important role in pump applications, not only do the controllers turn the pump motors on and off, but they also protect against a range of different scenarios which would damage pump motors and pumps if the appropriate control equipment were not used. AQS offers a wide range of controllers and starters to ensure that we can offer the ideal solution for every application. Our range of VSDs also offer the ability to vary the frequency of the motor’s power allowing the motor to speed up or slow down and subsequently allow the pump to deliver more or less flow and pressure.

  • Our Generation 2 Digital Starter Protector is available in three phase 380V and ranges from 0.37kW to 7.5kW. It can be connected to motors with identical voltage and power to protect the motor and pump, should a scenario occur that may lead to failure. It offers the following protection: Dry run, Over load, Transient surge, Under- & Over Voltage, Open phase, Pump stalled, Short circuit, Over temp, Three phase unbalance, Phase reversal & Repeated start. It works without a probe/sensor and can record the last 5 faults in its memory. With an IP 54 rating this product is protected against dust ingress and water splash, but is not dust tight.
  • The digital starter protector can be used to control any 380v pump motor between 0.37kw and 7.5kw. With it's IP44 enclosure it can be placed outdoors without any need for additional weatherproofing. The digital starter also has facilities for connecting a float level switch and will protect the motor in the following scenarios: Dry run, overload, transient surge, under and over voltage, pump stall, and short circuit.
  • With its rugged construction the DY-T03 controller is ideally suited for applications in harsh environments where the controller will need to withstand abuse. The DY-T03 can be used for controlling 380v pump motors between 5.5kw and 30kw. The enclosure is IP44 rated and the DY-T03 offers protection against over and under load. The DY-T03 also features terminals for fitting upper and lower liquid level probes.
  • The DYA-T07 controller is designed to operate with units ranging from 9.2kw to 15kw. The rugged IP54 enclosure make the DYA-T07 controller suitable for use in sandy or dusty environments as well as environments where the controller will be exposed to the elements. The DYA-T07 is easy to operate and features a large, easy to read digital display with all the critical information regarding the pump. The DYA-T07 controller will protect the pump against under and over voltage as well as pump stall, over current, and dry running.
  • The H931 digital starter is suitable for controlling 380v pump motors between 0.75kw and 15kw and features an IP22 enclosure. The H931 digital starter will protect the motor in the following scenarios: Dry run, overload, transient surge, under and over voltage, pump stall, and short circuit. The H931 starter also features terminals for connecting the H931 starter to remote control devices through the RS485 protocol.
  • The M521 digital controller is suitable for controlling 220v pump motors between 0.37kw and 2.2kw and features an IP22 enclosure. The H931 digital starter will protect the motor in the following scenarios: Dry run, overload, transient surge, under and over voltage, pump stall, and short circuit. The M521 digital controller has a large LCD display for showing the current status of the pump as well as additional info such as the accumulative running time and the last five faults logged by the controller. A starting capacitor will need to be fitted to the controller for operation, please refer to the catalogue for more info regarding the capacitor sizes.
  • The MA Analogue controller is the simplest form of control for 220v pump motors available from AQS. The MA controller features an IP44 enclosure for protection against the elements and the MA Controller will protect the pump motor against short circuiting and over current. The MA controller will need to be fitted with the appropriate capacitor based on the motor size which the controller will be controlling, please refer to the catalogue for more info regarding the capacitor sizes.
  • Our VSD's are essentially frequency inverters, with the main function to increase or decrease the speed of the motor connected to the pump, by altering the frequency. This adjustment in frequency results in the pump achieving a required duty at a given point in time to fit the application that it was designed for. The VSD can be preset according to this dutypoint. We offer a range of VSD's from 0.75kW up to 45kW in three phase 220V (up to 2.2kW), 380V and 525V. Protection that the VSD's include is Overload, Low- & High Voltage, Instant Stop/Start, Stall Prevention, Output Short Circuit etc.
